Red is the most preferred color when it comes to the choice of wedding dress. It is because the “rosy cheeks” appear to glow in the thought of the eternal world of love which awaits the day. For the last ten decades red has been the hottest color when it comes to the selection of a wedding gown in the European continent. Not only in the West in the eastern countries like that of India also, red dominates over the other shades when it comes to the option of choosing the shade for the most special day in one’s life. Red is also the ruling color in the range of bridal trousseau that is sold in the American markets.
Red being the symbolic color of love not only adds vibrancy to the wedding gowns but also makes the bride glow as love blossoms within her. A halter wedding dress with a red accent would turn out to be the perfect choice for the bride in the summer months. For those who are not too much into the red color they can accent their wedding gown either with a silk pashmina or a red cape. Though most of the women wear red wedding dresses to represent love marriage and commitment there are many others who wear it for traditional purposes. The nurturing qualities of an adult woman and the total womanhood are also reflected through the color red.
It is indeed true that red wedding dress not only reflects the true spirit of love and this is the reason brides from all over the world prefer to adorn themselves in red on to reflect the sensuality in their overall appearance.
